Omid Nemalhabib is a graphic designer working at the intersection of type design, visual language, and multilingual typography. He draws on philosophy, visual culture, poetry, and practice-led artistic research to build multilayered narratives, shaped into typographic systems through an ongoing dialogue between analogue tools and digital experimentation. This cross-disciplinary approach spans identity, editorial, printed objects, web design, and motion. He co-founded Studio Melli, an independent practice born in Tehran and based in The Hague.
Night of Ideas
2022
Night of Ideas “Nuit des idées” is a global programme initiated by the Institut Français, bringing together debates, workshops, and exhibitions around a shared theme each year. For the 7th edition in 2022, held in collaboration with the French Embassy in Tehran, the theme was Re-building Together, centred on the concept of earthen architecture as a living cultural and material practice.
The visual identity for the event and its exhibition programme included the presentation of Alireza Rasoulzadeh's installation "Reverse Mirage", alongside narratives from architects and master restorers involved in the restoration of Ahmad Lari House. The identity extended across print and digital materials, building a coherent visual language that held together the plurality of voices and disciplines within the programme.
